Explore the North of Spain on a one-week adventure of caving, canyoneering, paragliding and hiking through Spain’s stunning mountains, cliffs, and thermal waters.

Trip Overview
Adventurica’s all-inclusive one-week Asturias adventure trip is an immersive, small-group journey that combines high-adrenaline mountain and sea activities with the region’s famed landscapes and cuisine, designed for private groups of friends, family, or colleagues.
Destination and vibe
Asturias sits on Spain’s lush “green coast,” framed by the Cantabrian Sea and the limestone peaks of the Picos de Europa, giving the trip dramatic cliffs, deep valleys, and alpine-style scenery within short driving distances. The region is known for wild beaches, cliffside viewpoints, traditional fishing villages, and historic mountain towns, which shape both the activity locations and the more relaxed cultural stops.
Core adventure activities
During the week, your private group rotates through paragliding, caving, canyoneering, and via ferrata routes that showcase Asturias’ canyons, caves, and high ridgelines. All technical equipment and local logistics are handled, so participants can focus on the experience while progressively building confidence in vertical and water environments.
Relaxed experiences
To balance the intense adventure days, the itinerary includes sessions in local thermal waters, scenic hikes on coastal or high-mountain trails, and unhurried time in picturesque villages. Evenings highlight Asturian gastronomy—such as fresh seafood, cheeses, and regional specialties—in traditional restaurants and rural guesthouses.
Group format and inclusions
The Asturias trip is exclusively for pre-formed groups, meaning you travel only with people you invite (friends, family, or colleagues), and the group stays together throughout the week. The package price covers guided group activities, professional accompaniment, all specialized gear, local ground transport, and most meals; international flights are not included.

FAQ
- May I join as an individual?
- Usually not – This trip shall be booked as a private group event where everyone knows each other beforehand.
- What’s the group size?
- Maximum 8 participants.
- Contact us for groups of less than 4 participants.
- Do I need any knowledge or experience?
- No, this trip is designed for adventurers who may have never done any canyoneering, caving, or climbing. You must have some hiking experience and be ready to learn and push your boundaries.
- Do I need to be very sporty?
- You must be at least athletic, with no physical limitations or handicaps. You must be able to run, swim, hop on large rocks, crawl, etc.
- Is all the food included?
- We strive to keep you well fed within the included budget but constrained to our schedule. That means we will try to provide all breakfasts at home plus all group dinners. Most of our activities do not leave time for lunch so we try to do late, heavy breakfasts and early dinners.
- What if I have food allergies or intolerances?
- We are going to be eating traditional Asturian and Spanish cuisine, which are considered amongst the most desirable in the world. This food is very heavy on meat products, seafood (shellfish) and grain/wheat. Vegetarian options are rare. Gluten-free options are sometimes possible but not guaranteed.
- Do I need any special equipment?
- No, we provide all activity-related gear.
- What should I bring?
- A water bottle (if possible, thermal).
- MULTIPLE PAIRS of hiking clothes and boots. They will get dirty and wet.
- At least 3 sets of hiking pants.
- At least 2 sets of hiking boots.
- Informal/city clothes (for the more relaxing days, and dinner outings).
- How are the housing arrangements?
- We value everybody’s rest and comfort, within budget, so we typically provide a single rental place shared by the entire group, with shared bedrooms and bathrooms. We try to provide either individual beds or king-sized (180cm) shared beds. Depending on group size or availability we may deploy good quality inflating beds or comfortable sofa-beds.
- Is the itinerary fixed?
- No, all activities depend on weather, time taken by participants on each activity, availability of third-party providers, etc. The Group Companion will keep you up to date with potential changes on the fly. In practice, nothing changes too much except shuffling dates around due to weather conditions. Paragliding often needs to be canceled because the proper wind conditions for flying are unpredictable. If your group has special requests let us know before the trip begins.
- What are the dates?
- Groups can book this activity as a one-week trip to take place in May, June, July or September, every year.
- Trips must be usually booked at least 3 months in advance. Reach out to us for last-minute bookings.
- Who will be my Group Companion?
- That will be, almost for sure, Adrian.
- Will I do paragliding by myself or with an instructor?
- During this trip we only have time for one tandem flight per participant (and only if weather permits!) so you would be flying attached to a very experienced and commercially-licensed paragliding pilot. You don’t need any previous knowledge. But if you want to learn how to fly by yourself on a different trip, let us know.
